Mississippi Courthouses
Historically accurate windows and doors built for daily use in two active civic buildings.
Scope of Work
Arched doors
Sash replacements
Custom windows
Project Overview
Oakleigh was selected to recreate original doors and windows for two Mississippi courthouses under strict State Historic Preservation Office guidelines.
Earlier renovations had introduced thinner sash profiles that weakened the appearance and long-term performance of both buildings. Oakleigh returned the windows to their original 1¾-inch thickness, restoring correct proportions while improving structural integrity and durability. Test units were produced to confirm fit before full production began.
The Results
The final installation delivered longer-lasting windows and doors that perform reliably in daily use while preserving the buildings’ architectural character.
